Actually, it's a no-go. Fallout 4 and Fallout 4 VR treat their saves like personal diaries, not meant for the eyes of the other. So, you can't swap saves between them, unfortunately.
Think of Fallout 4 and Fallout 4 VR as siblings who don't share toys. Saves from Fallout 4 VR can't be used in the standard Fallout 4 game, and that's the sad reality.
