Unfortunately, Google Play gift cards are for Google's services only. For PlayStation, grab a PlayStation Network (PSN) card.

Been there, tried that! Google Play cards work for Android apps and stuff, but not for PlayStation purchases.

Nope, Google Play gift cards can't be used on PlayStation. You need a PlayStation Store card for that!
