Absolutely, but there's a catch! Japanese cards are totally cool for casual play among friends who don't mind the language barrier. However, if you're planning to play in official tournaments, you'll need to stick to the language that the tournament is being held in. So, while your Japanese Pikachu might look awesome, it'll have to sit out the competitive play unless you're in Japan.

Nope, it's English or bust for official tournaments. Gotta make sure everyone's on the same playing field with language.

From my experience, using Japanese cards has never been a problem in casual games. My friends and I love the artwork and sometimes prefer the Japanese versions. Just make sure everyone playing is cool with it and understands the card's effects!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
