Totally, you can use Japanese Pokemon cards in tournaments, but there's a catch! All local tournaments in the U.S. require cards to be in English mainly because of the language barrier for judges and opponents. However, at international events, it’s a different story, where language rules can be more relaxed. Always best to check with the event's rules before you pack your deck.

Nah, stick to English cards for local tournaments. It's just easier for everyone to understand what's going on without having to stop and translate.

Actually, I played in a tournament in Japan with English cards and no one batted an eye. It really comes down to the event's rules and location. International tournaments can be a mixed bag, so always check ahead!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
