Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Yes, but always check the format rules because some specifically ban certain cards or sets.

Yeah, old cards are fine as long as they haven't been banned or restricted in the format you're playing. Some folks even prefer the classic artworks!

Nope, not always. Depends on the format rules and bans. Check before you deck.

Absolutely! In Magic The Gathering, you can totally use older prints of cards in most formats. The important thing is the card's name, not the print version. So, if you've got a card that's been reprinted in a newer set, your old version is just as legal to play in games. It's actually pretty cool because it lets you personalize your deck with versions of the cards that you particularly like or find nostalgic.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
