Yeah, definitely! In casual play with friends, you can use any Pokemon cards you want, old or new. But if we're talking official tournaments, there's a Standard format that only allows the newest sets. There's also an Expanded format where a lot more of the older sets are playable. So, check the format you're playing!

Honestly, who's stopping you? Play with what makes you happy. Plus, those old cards have some nostalgic power that new ones just can't beat.

Short answer: Yes, but it depends on where you're playing. Competitive play? Stick to the rules of the format. Just for fun at home? Go wild with any cards you like!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
