Yep, you can use a PS4 controller on a PS5, but only for PS4 games. For PS5 games, you'll need a DualSense controller.

I use my PS4 controller on my PS5 all the time... as long as I'm playing PS4 games. For PS5 games, it's DualSense or bust!
