Yes, but there's a catch! PS4 controllers work on the PS5 only for backward-compatible PS4 games. For PS5-native games, you'll need a DualSense.

Yep, you can totally use a PS4 controller on a PS5, but only for playing PS4 games. For PS5 games, you're gonna need that shiny new DualSense controller.

Yeah, but why would you want to miss out on the awesome haptic feedback and adaptive triggers of the DualSense? Just stick with the new one!

I've tested it myself, and the PS4 controller works perfectly for PS4 titles on my PS5. However, for PS5 games, the DualSense is the only way to go.
