Can't join a Terraria server via IP? Here's what to do!
Oh, the classic 'can't join the Terraria server' saga! Been there, done that. The first thing to check is if the host has the server up and running. It sounds obvious, but you'd be surprised how often this is the issue. Next, double-check that IP and make sure there are no pesky typos. If you're both on point but still no dice, it might be a port forwarding issue. The host needs to forward the Terraria server port (default is 7777) on their router. Ugh, been there, and it's usually a firewall blocking the connection. Check your antivirus and firewall settings to make sure they're not stopping you from joining the fun. If you're not the techy type, ask a friend who knows their way around these things. Worked for me!
