Nah, 'Last Strike' sounds like it would just complicate combat even more. MTG already has First Strike and Double Strike, adding Last Strike into the mix might just muddle things up. Part of what makes Magic great is its balance of complexity and accessibility. Let's not tip that balance.
As someone who's been playing MTG for years, I've seen a lot of mechanics come and go. 'Last Strike' could be interesting, especially in formats that are heavy on combat.
