Did Apex Legends have a beta before its official release?
Nope, Apex Legends didn't have a public beta phase. The devs pulled a Beyonce and dropped the game outta nowhere on February 4, 2019. They literally went from 0 to 100 real quick, announcing and releasing the game on the same day. Talk about a surprise drop!

Nah, there was no beta. Apex Legends just appeared one day like magic. One day nothing, next day, boom, Apex everywhere.
Actually, it's a no. While most games these days go through a beta, Apex Legends skipped that part and went straight to full release. It was a unique strategy by Respawn Entertainment that definitely paid off.
