Nope, the original Dragon Ball Z Kai series didn't cover the Buu Saga, but 'The Final Chapters' released later does.
Technically, the initial run of Dragon Ball Z Kai ended before the Buu Saga, but the extra episodes 'The Final Chapters' took care of it.
