Nope, Epic Games didn't buy GTA 5. What actually happened was that GTA 5 was offered for free on the Epic Games Store for a limited time. Rockstar Games, the developers behind GTA, still owns the franchise.

Nah, Epic Games didn't buy GTA 5. They did a promo where you could grab it for free, but Rockstar's still the boss of it.

Epic Games never bought GTA 5. They just had a mega deal where they gave it away for free for a week. Everyone went nuts downloading it, but ownership stayed with Rockstar Games.
