Yes! GTA San Andreas did have a multiplayer mode, but it wasn't as straightforward as you might think. The original game had a somewhat hidden multiplayer feature that allowed two players to roam around and cause chaos together on the same console. It was more of a split-screen co-op situation on the PS2, where you had to find specific locations in the game to activate it. Not the most convenient setup, but it was definitely fun!

GTA San Andreas had a multiplayer, but don't expect anything like GTA Online. We're talking minimal, local co-op only. You could play with a friend, but only by sharing the same screen. Good luck squinting!

Nah, the multiplayer in San Andreas was nothing to write home about. Just a basic co-op mode.

For the serious players, there was SAMP (San Andreas Multiplayer) and MTA (Multi Theft Auto). These were PC mods that allowed for fully-fledged multiplayer action on private servers. Technically not part of the official game, but they showed what the community could do when they wanted more multiplayer action in San Andreas.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
