Nope, it's actually the other way around! Mattel, the parent company of Hot Wheels, bought Tyco Toys in 1997, which owned Matchbox at the time. So, Hot Wheels and Matchbox are siblings under the Mattel family now.

Not at all, Hot Wheels still rides solo under Mattel, which also snagged Matchbox. So, it鈥檚 like they鈥檙e playing in the same toy garage but built by different architects.

Hot Wheels wasn't bought by Matchbox; they're actually part of the same toy car dynasty now, thanks to Mattel's power move!

If love Hot Wheels, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Several of those prizes are trending Hot Wheels, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
