Just to clarify, MJ did acquire the publishing rights to some of Eminem's music, not Eminem himself!

Nope, Michael Jackson never bought Eminem himself, but he did buy the rights to Eminem's music videos for a while through Sony/ATV Music Publishing. So while he didn't own Eminem, he had a stake in Slim Shady's tunes.

Nope, Michael Jackson didn't buy Eminem himself! But he did own the rights to Eminem's music for a while. Through his stake in Sony/ATV Music Publishing, MJ acquired the rights as part of the purchase of Famous Music in 2007.

As a musician myself, I was fascinated by this! Michael Jackson's company got the rights to some of Eminem's music in 2007. It was a business move, not a personal purchase.

Actually, Michael Jackson didn't buy Eminem, but he did invest in the publishing rights of some of his songs. It's all about the music biz, not personal ownership!
