Just head to the PlayStation website and remove the PS4 from your devices list. Easy peasy!

No worries! You can deactivate your PS4 as the primary system from the PlayStation website. Just log into your account, go to 'Device Management,' and deactivate from there.

I had the same issue! I went to 'Settings' on the new console, then 'Account Management,' and deactivated the old one through there. Problem solved!
