Yeah, Owen Turtenwald stepped away from the MTG scene. It was around 2019 when he suddenly dropped out from the Mythic Invitational and kinda vanished from the competitive circuit. He's been pretty quiet on the Magic front since then.

Owen Turtenwald leaving MTG was a big deal! He was a top player. But yep, he's out. Haven't seen him shuffle a deck in ages.

Officially? It's like a ghost story; Owen Turtenwald vanished from the pro MTG scene with little to no fanfare. No formal goodbye, no dramatic exit. Just poof, and he was gone from the tourneys.

Turtenwald out? Yup. But MTG is bigger than any one player. The game goes on, and it's still awesome.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
