Did they remove MTG Arena duplicate protection?
ImplementingPons·7 months agoNope, MTG Arena still has duplicate protection in place! Basically, if you open a booster pack and the card that pops out is one you already have a playset of (meaning 4 copies), the game automatically replaces it with another card from the same rarity that you don’t own. Pretty neat to keep your collection growing without getting bogged down by too many duplicates!

Nah, duplicate protection's still a thing. You won’t get fifth copies of a card unless you've collected all the cards of that rarity. Then, you’ll start getting gems instead.
Yes! Well, kinda. They didn’t remove it, but they did change how it works a bit with the addition of the Mastery system and Set Mastery. However, the core idea remains the same—you’re protected from getting too many copies of the same card. Make sure you're up to date on the latest updates though!
No way, duplicate protection is one of the best features! It's definitely still around.
Absolutely not, still going strong. Duplicate protection in MTG Arena is alive and kicking. You're safe to open packs without fear of unnecessary duplicates. Happy collecting!
