Nope, MTG Arena still has duplicate protection in place! Basically, if you open a booster pack and the card that pops out is one you already have a playset of (meaning 4 copies), the game automatically replaces it with another card from the same rarity that you don’t own. Pretty neat to keep your collection growing without getting bogged down by too many duplicates!

Nah, duplicate protection's still a thing. You won’t get fifth copies of a card unless you've collected all the cards of that rarity. Then, you’ll start getting gems instead.

Yes! Well, kinda. They didn’t remove it, but they did change how it works a bit with the addition of the Mastery system and Set Mastery. However, the core idea remains the same—you’re protected from getting too many copies of the same card. Make sure you're up to date on the latest updates though!

No way, duplicate protection is one of the best features! It's definitely still around.

Absolutely not, still going strong. Duplicate protection in MTG Arena is alive and kicking. You're safe to open packs without fear of unnecessary duplicates. Happy collecting!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
