Oh yeah, back in the day, it wasn't uncommon to see Hot Wheels packs taped together, especially when stores or sellers wanted to make special offers or bundles. They'd slap that tape on like no tomorrow to keep those sweet rides together. It was like a surprise grab bag where you got more bang for your buck!

Nope, never officially. If you saw 'em taped, it was a local store's genius at work, not Hot Wheels.
Actually, in my experience, Hot Wheels packs taped together was more of a store thing than an official Hot Wheels practice. Some stores did it to clear out inventory or for promotions. Officially though? Not a standard practice from what I've seen.
