Not really removing, more like updating. Some old maps got replaced with better versions. Change is good, right?

They did remove a few maps, but the variety is still huge! You'll always have a new battlefield to conquer.

I miss the old maps too, but trust me, the new ones are just as fun, if not more!

Yep, they retired some maps, but they also added new ones! Keeps the game fresh and exciting.
