Yeah, TF2 used to cost money when it first came out, but Valve made it free-to-play in 2011. So, if you joined after that, you lucked out!

Nope! I hopped on the TF2 bandwagon after it went free-to-play in 2011. Never spent a dime on it!

Back in the day, Team Fortress 2 wasn't always the freebie it is today! It originally launched as part of The Orange Box in 2007 and you had to shell out some cash for it.
