Oh absolutely, 1/1 counters and -1/-1 counters indeed cancel each other out in the mystical world of MTG. If your creature gets a +1/+1 counter and later gets hit with a -1/-1 counter, they essentially nullify each other, keeping your battlefield cleaner than a wizard's freshly swept tower!

Nope, they don't stack. 1/1 counters cancel -1/-1 out. If your creature's getting pumped up and then shrunk down, it's like nothing ever happened!

Honestly, they do cancel out, but why bother? Just blast your opponent with something they can't counter!

Yes, they take each other out. But remember, in the grand strategy of MTG, there are more thrilling ways to claim victory than watching counters cancel each other!

Counter wars on creatures? +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters do cancel each other. If you're playing a game and a creature ends up with both, they just wipe each other out and you pretend like it was all a magic trick gone wrong.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
