Do 1/1 counters negate each other in MTG?
RuingMite路7 months agoOh absolutely, 1/1 counters and -1/-1 counters indeed cancel each other out in the mystical world of MTG. If your creature gets a +1/+1 counter and later gets hit with a -1/-1 counter, they essentially nullify each other, keeping your battlefield cleaner than a wizard's freshly swept tower!

Nope, they don't stack. 1/1 counters cancel -1/-1 out. If your creature's getting pumped up and then shrunk down, it's like nothing ever happened!

Yes, they take each other out. But remember, in the grand strategy of MTG, there are more thrilling ways to claim victory than watching counters cancel each other!
Counter wars on creatures? +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters do cancel each other. If you're playing a game and a creature ends up with both, they just wipe each other out and you pretend like it was all a magic trick gone wrong.
