Nope, not all artifacts in MTG need to tap. Some artifacts have passive abilities that are always 'on' or have abilities that don't require tapping to activate. However, a lot of the more powerful or impactful artifacts do require tapping, especially if they're generating mana, drawing cards, or doing something equally game-changing!

It's a myth! Artifacts span a wide variety - some tap, some don't. The real question is, what does your strategy need?

Actually, many artifacts don't tap. You've got equipment artifacts that you attach to creatures to beef them up, and these usually don't tap when they're being used. Then there are artifacts with static abilities that just sit there looking pretty and menacing without needing to tap.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
