Nope, not all tap lands in MTG come with subtypes. While many do, like those named after specific places in the MTG universe and have the Island, Swamp, Mountain, Forest, or Plains subtype, there are also quite a few that don't and are just known as 'Lands'. It's really about the specific abilities and strategic value they bring to the game rather than their subtypes.

Actually, not every tap land has a subtype. Some do, especially the ones that are tied closely to the lore and can tap for different types of mana, but there's a bunch that are just plain lands without any fancy subtypes.

Gonna be real here: not all tap lands need subtypes to be awesome. They serve their purpose without them just fine.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
