Short answer? Only if they're creatures. Summoning sickness in MTG is like that rule your mom has about not swimming right after you eat. It only applies in specific situations.

Summoning sickness for artifacts? Not unless it鈥檚 moonlighting as a creature. Otherwise, it's business as usual.

Honestly, summoning sickness barely touches artifacts unless they've got ambitions to be a creature. Otherwise, they're immune to the lazy bug.

Yeah, so here's the scoop: technically, all permanents (including artifacts) are affected by summoning sickness in MTG. But here's the kicker - it only really matters if the artifact is a creature or becomes a creature on the turn it's played. So, if you're just throwing down an artifact that's not planning to strut its stuff as a creature, no worries on the summoning sickness front. It's chill and ready to go!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
