Do card stores cancel orders when MTG cards spike in value?

Absolutely, it happens more than you'd think. When a card's value shoots up overnight due to a new combo discovery or tournament results, some stores might cancel your order claiming 'inventory issues' or 'listing errors'. It's not the most honorable move, but it's a reality in the world of collectible card games like MTG.

Based on personal experience, yeah, orders get canceled sometimes. Happened to me when I snagged a card for cheap right before it doubled in price. Next day, got the 'oops, we messed up' email. Annoying but it's part of the game.

Hard disagree here. Most reputable card stores value their reputation far too much to pull a stunt like cancelling orders on spiking cards. Sure, there might be a few bad apples, but the majority stick to their sales.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
