Just to set the record straight: copying a creature doesn’t bring over any attached equipment, auras, or counters. You get the base model, not the fully loaded version.

Nope! If you're copying a creature, you're just getting the creature - none of the extras like equipment. It's like getting a plain cheese pizza; still good, but without the toppings.
