Cost reductions don't work with Transmute. Transmute cost is a fixed cost, not an activatable ability cost that something like Goblin Electromancer would reduce. You gotta pay the full price listed on the Transmute card, no discounts.

In my experience, cost reductions do indeed work with Transmute abilities on cards. I've seen it happen during games where a player used a card like "Heartless Summoning" which reduced the cost of creature spells. Since Transmute is an activated ability, it was cheaper to activate. Super useful if you're trying to combo off or find that key piece of your deck more efficiently!

Absolutely! Cost reductions can affect Transmute in MTG. Transmute is an ability that lets you pay a specific cost to discard the card and search your library for another card with the same cost to put into your hand. If you've got a card or effect in play that reduces costs, you can pay less to activate Transmute, as long as the reduction applies to the type of cost you're paying. Just remember, the card you're searching for still needs to match the original transmute cost, not the reduced one you paid!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
