Nah, countering the storm-triggered spells doesn't work because the storm copies aren't cast—they're just put directly onto the stack. So, basically, once someone's played a storm card and it's triggered, buckle up because those copies are coming through whether the original gets countered or not.

Totally, if you counter the original spell, you've done your job. Just sit back and watch as nothing happens. Easy game, right?

Oh, the age-old clash of Counters vs. Storm! So here's the deal: Counters can stop the original Storm spell from resolving, which sounds like a win, right? But here's the twist - storm's ability triggers upon the spell being cast, not when it resolves. This means even if you counter the original spell, the storm copies still get created and go on their merry way to wreak havoc. So, in short, you can stop the spell but not the storm it's already summoned.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
