Nope, drakes and dragons are different in the MTG universe. While they might both have wings and look kinda similar, they belong to different creature types. Dragons are often bigger and have more varied abilities. Drakes, on the other hand, tend to be smaller and less powerful. So, you can't use something that buffs dragons on a drake and expect it to work.

Lol, that's like asking if a chihuahua is a wolf because they both have four legs. Drakes do NOT count as dragons in Magic The Gathering. Different creature types, different rules.

As someone who has played MTG for years, I've seen this mix-up more times than I can count. Drakes are not dragons, period. They're usually cheaper to play mana-wise but don't expect them to get any dragon perks.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
