Honestly, internal storage is the way to go for PS5 games due to speed. But yeah, external drives are fine for PS4 stuff.

Yep, you can use external hard drives on the PS5, but they can only store and run PS4 games. For PS5 games, you'll need to use the internal SSD or upgrade with a compatible NVMe SSD.
