Nope, turning off your Xbox completely will pause all downloads. To get the best speeds, use Instant-On mode instead of fully turning off the console.

Yes, downloading games in rest mode (Instant-On mode) can speed up the download process since the Xbox focuses solely on the task at hand and isn't bogged down by other operations. Just make sure the setting is enabled in your power options!

They actually download at about the same speed whether it's on or in Instant-On mode, but Instant-On just keeps it going while it seems off.

I've tried both ways, and Instant-On mode definitely feels faster. It鈥檚 a lifesaver when I want my game ready by the time I get home from work!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
