Nah, you can get away with just watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It's more faithful to the manga and has a more satisfying plot.

Honestly, start with Brotherhood. It's way better and follows the manga more closely. The 2003 series is nice but kinda goes off the rails later on.

For the best experience, you should watch the 2003 series first and then Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The first series diverges from the manga, while Brotherhood sticks closely to it and provides a more complete story.

I watched Brotherhood first and loved it. Then I watched the 2003 series for extra content. Worked fine for me!

If you're a Fullmetal Alchemist fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
