You don't need PlayStation Plus to play the main content of Destiny 2, but you'll need it for multiplayer activities like raids and the Crucible.

Nope, you can play the PvE content of Destiny 2 without PlayStation Plus, but for PvP and end-game stuff, you'll need it.
