Nah, you don't always have to sacrifice your own creatures in Magic The Gathering. It totally depends on the spell or ability you're using. Some cards specifically require a creature sacrifice as a cost to activate a powerful ability or spell. Read your cards carefully, because it's all about the strategy and what the card says.

Yes and no. Sacrificing creatures can be a part of your strategy, especially if you're playing a deck that benefits from it. There are plenty of cards that get bonuses or trigger effects when a sacrifice happens. But if you're not into that, there are a bajillion other strategies in MTG that don't involve sacrificing your own creatures.

Only if you want to win ;) Seriously though, sacrificing creatures is a strategy, not a requirement. MTG is a universe of possibilities!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
