Yup, items in Terraria can definitely despawn, but there's a catch! The game allows up to 400 different items to be on the ground at the same time. Once you hit that limit, the oldest items start disappearing as new ones drop. So, if you're out adventuring and drop some loot to pick up later, just make sure you haven't hit the item cap, or you might lose some of your goodies.

Short answer: Yes, but only if you're a hoarder! Terraria can handle up to 400 items on the ground before it starts cleaning up, starting with the oldest first. So unless you're dropping stuff like it's going out of fashion, you should be fine.

Nah, items just chill there forever...until you hit the 400 item limit. Then, Terraria becomes a harsh mistress and starts the cleanup from the oldest. Lost my legendary sword that way. Not cool.

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
