Yes, Japanese Pokemon cards do indeed have a 1st Edition marking! It's a bit of a special case, though. Unlike the English versions, where 1st Edition marks were widespread in the early sets, Japanese cards only started getting these marks later on. So, if you're hunting for that elusive 1st Edition symbol, it's good to know that it does exist, but it's more of a rarity in Japanese sets.

Nah, the whole 1st Edition thing isn't as big a deal in Japan as it is elsewhere. They do exist but aren't as common. Happy hunting!

Actually, yes, but it's pretty rare. I got a Japanese 1st Edition card once, felt like I struck gold!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
