Do lands count as colored permanents in Magic The Gathering?
PleasingSkip·7 months agoNope, lands in MTG are not considered colored permanents. Lands typically don’t have a color unless explicitly stated by an ability on the card or effect in play. So, by default, your forests, islands, and other basic lands are colorless buddies on the battlefield.

Actually, it's a common mistake to think lands can be colored permanents because of their association with mana colors, but by the rules, they're colorless unless an effect changes that.
Lands are colorless. They don't have a color unless a specific effect says otherwise. Easy peasy.
