Do lords give counters in MTG?
EnvassalingTier路7 months agoNah, lords usually don't give counters. They give static boosts to specific types of creatures. For example, a Goblin Lord might give all Goblin creatures +1/+1, but that's not a counter, it's just a temporary boost as long as the lord is on the field. So, if the lord gets bounced or destroyed, bye-bye bonus!

Nope, static buffs not counters. Easy peasy.
Actually, I gotta disagree with most here. Lords typically boost their minions by pure aura of awesomeness (aka static buffs), NOT counters. But, there are some rare exceptions in the vast MTG universe where a creature might act like a lord but also dishes out counters. Always read the fine print, fellow planeswalkers!
