Yep, in the My Hero Academia universe, there are references to American comics, including Marvel and DC. Deku's even been seen reading a comic that looks suspiciously like Spider-Man!

Not exactly, but the influence of Marvel and DC is pretty clear in My Hero Academia's hero and villain designs. It's like a love letter to superhero comics!

As someone who's read all the manga volumes, I can say there are nods to Western superhero comics, but Marvel and DC themselves don't show up.
