Nope, the whole "1st Edition" thing was a '90s gig. Modern Pokemon cards don't roll with the 1st edition stamp anymore. Nowadays, you might see terms like "Prerelease" or special symbols for promo cards, but the classic 1st edition mark is a relic of the past, making those old cards feel even more special.

Hot take: 1st edition stamps are overrated. Modern Pokemon cards are where it's at with their VMAX and Secret Rare cards. Who needs a stamp when you can have a card that practically jumps out at you with shiny, holographic glory?

Actually, modern Pokemon cards ditched the 1st Edition stamp after the Neo sets. So, any new sets you're seeing won't have that cool little "1st Edition" mark. It's all about the secret rares and full arts now!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
