To keep from getting disturbed on Steam, simply set your status to 'Do Not Disturb'. This way, your friends know you're busy and you won't get pop-up notifications. Easy peasy!

Honestly, just ignore the notifications. If you're in the zone, why bother changing settings? Just keep playing and tune everything else out!

Just go offline. Problem solved. You can still play games, but no one sees you online. Stealth mode, activate!
