Nope, planeswalkers do not have summoning sickness in the way creatures do. You can use their loyalty abilities right away on the turn you play them, assuming you've got the loyalty points to spend. But remember, they can't tap for abilities that require tapping (not that most of them have this) because of the summoning sickness rule that does apply to them in that specific context. So, play them and start causing trouble immediately!

Planeswalkers? Summoning sick? Nah, they hit the ground running. You can use their abilities the moment you slap them onto the battlefield. No need to wait a turn, so go ahead and make your opponents weep.

Actually, while you can use their abilities right away, they do technically have summoning sickness; it just doesn't affect the use of their abilities since those don't usually require tapping. Just a little nuance to keep in mind!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
