Nope, PS3 discs won't work on a PS4 directly. The PS4 isn't backward compatible with PS3 games. However, you can play some PS3 titles through PlayStation Now, Sony's game streaming service.

Short answer: No, PS3 games don't work on PS4. You gotta stream them through PlayStation Now.

Nah, you can't pop a PS3 game into a PS4 and expect it to work. I tried with my old favorites, no luck. You need PlayStation Now to play PS3 games on a PS4.
