Totally disagree with the matte-only claim. Sure, official Pokemon TCG cards have a specific texture, but I've come across promo or special edition cards that felt different. Not glossy like a sticker, but not the standard matte either. Always check other features to verify authenticity.

Nah, real Pokemon cards don't have glossy backs. The official ones have a matte finish to keep them from sticking together and to maintain that classic feel. If your card's back feels glossy, it might be a fake or from a novelty set not meant for official play.
