Nope, rooms in Fallout Shelter only combine side by side, not top to bottom. Think of it like expanding horizontally, not vertically. So, if you want a bigger, more efficient room, place two or three of the same type next to each other on the same floor.

Big no-no, my friend. Rooms go wide, not tall. You gotta stick 'em side by side for them to merge.

Absolutely not. I tried doing that when I first started and was confused why my rooms wouldn鈥檛 combine. They only combine when placed next to each other, horizontally.

If you're a Fallout Shelter player looking for extra caps or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Fallout Shelter essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
