Do static abilities get around indestructible in MTG?

Static abilities do work against indestructible, especially in terms of altering rules or statuses. For example, if a static ability makes all creatures 0/0, then being indestructible doesn't help the creature stay on the battlefield, as it dies due to having 0 toughness.

Absolutely, static abilities can totally bypass indestructible! Think of it like this: if a static ability says "creatures lose all abilities," then it doesn't matter if a creature is indestructible. Indestructibility won't save it from losing its abilities. It's like having an unbreakable shield but still getting teleported off a cliff - the shield won't matter if you're not there to use it!

Nope, indestructible means indestructible. A static ability can't touch it. If a creature is indestructible, it's staying put. End of story.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
