Do tokens count as cards in MTG?
AttendingStoke·7 months agoNope, tokens do not count as cards in Magic The Gathering. They're created in the game by spells or abilities and can represent creatures, artifacts, or other types of permanents. But unlike cards, they aren't considered part of your deck and don't go into your hand or graveyard - they just poof! vanish when they leave the battlefield.

Technically, tokens are NOT cards. They can be anything - a coin, a piece of paper, or those fancy official token cards, but in the rules, they're not treated as cards.
