Do Tokens of Creatures Copy Creatures' Abilities in MTG?
UnifyingSlum路7 months agoTotally! In Magic The Gathering, when you create a token that's a copy of a creature, it copies everything about the original creature - this includes its abilities, power, toughness, and any other characteristics on the card. Ever seen a swarm of 5/5 flying dragon tokens with all the bells and whistles? Yep, that's the magic of copying!

It's like photocopying your homework with the fancy copier at your uncle's office. Everything on the original is on the copy, including the doodles in the margins. So yes, creature abilities get copied too!
Not always! It depends on what's making the token. If the effect specifically says it creates a token that's a "copy" of a creature, then yes, it gets the abilities. But if it just says to create a token that's, say, a 1/1 white Soldier, then it's just a plain token with no extra abilities.
